  • My yard is very small, can I still have a Pony Party?
We have yet to find a yard we can't make work.  Sometimes we set up the
petting zoo in the front yard and give rides up and down the side walk.  We
have been in a lot of different neighborhoods.  Let us know about your
specific needs and we will make it work!!!


  • Is one pony enough?
How many ponies you need depends on how many guests you have
attending your party and how often you want them to have a pony ride. A
general rule of thumb is that 1 pony can comfortably handle 13 guests in
one hour, each riding a minimum of 2 times. The most fun is of course at
least two ponies as the children love to ride at the same time as their
friends.  Please contact us to discuss your function and together we can
figure out what you need to best entertain your guests. Ponies are a great
birthday party idea.


  •  How long should we have the animals at our party?
Generally and hour is plenty of time at the typical birthday party.  If you
think that one hour is not going to provide enough rides it is better to get
more ponies than more time.  It is cheaper, and more fun as the children
love to ride at the same time as others.  Generally in a small back yard we
can fit two to three ponies and a petting zoo with no problem.  An hour
should provide the child plenty of birthday party entertainment.


  • Do you have insurance?
Pony-Up  carries full liability insurance, proof of which can be provided. Our
safety record is unblemished and we take pride in our attention to detail
which is key to this fact.

  • What type of risk is there?
There are always risks associated with animals, and we ask all of our
customers to agree to that fact.   Animals can be unpredictable in some
circumstances,  All of our ponies have undergone extensive training and
"spook proofing"   and ridden frequently by our own children to provide you
and your kid with fun birthday party entertainment.
  • What if we have older children or adults who want to ride?
We have a variety of ponies and horses at our ranch, some of which are quite large! We are
frequently asked to bring a small pony and another larger horse to accommodate all guests from
18 months to 118 years!!!  Please be sure to let us know the approximate weight of the folks in
question so we can be sure to have the right horse for the job!! We have horse rental too!!


  • Is there a mess?
Our Pony Up handlers will make sure any mess is cleaned up prior to our departure. We leave the
grounds as clean as possible.  We are happy to take our fertilizer with us or you can tell us where
you want it.


  • How much does it cost?
All of our prices are listed on our Prices and Party Packages page.   We have looked at a variety of
different types of entertainment, pony parties are a good value and a unique way to entertain
your guests.


  • What does the price include?
We provide all of the clean professional handlers necessary.  We give pony rides by hand walking
the animal on your property. While the ride takes place, we answer questions that the rider may
have...about the pony, or caring for them...making this an educational experience as well.  We
will provide rides to your guests until the allotted time is up, there is no limit to the amount of
rides your child or guests may have.  We always try to make sure everyone gets the same
amount of rides to ensure everyone goes home happy. After the rides we give the guests the
opportunity to watch the animals get ready to go home and answer questions they may have. We
will clean up any mess prior to our departure.


  • What if it rains?
We always call you the night before your event if it is threatening rain, to touch base and confirm
details. If there is a possibility that weather may be a factor we discuss options, which may
include, rescheduling, delaying the ponies arrival (if rain for instance is due early afternoon, we
may have the pony arrive earlier). Ultimately, if you decide the weather is going to prevent the
guests from enjoying the pony rides, then we will cancel the engagement and refund any deposit
made.  You have nothing to lose in booking a winter party.


  • What kind of payment do you accept?
We have several convenient payment options; Cash, Checks and PayPal.  Pay Pal does require a
fee, Please contact us if you have any questions.


  • Will the presence of a dog worry your ponies?
We have a dog, therefore a dog will not be a problem to our ponies.  Even so, your dogs are
probably not used to ponies.  For the health and safety of your animals and ours,  we ask that
you put your dog(s) in an out-of-the-way place.


  • If we get more than one pony, will I have to help lead the ponies around?
NO WAY!!  This is YOUR party and we are here to serve you!!  The only job you will have is caring
for your guests.  Leave the ponies to us!!


  • What do most people get?
There isn't really any one thing that is done but in our opinion the best parties are 2 ponies and a
petting zoo or 1 pony and a petting zoo.  If you think your group would not like the petting zoo
then the best party would be 2 ponies.  We are happy to bring one pony but we have found that
the most fun is 2 ponies and a petting zoo so that more than one child is being entertained at a
